Ban the bag (please, please, please ban the bag!)

This is the website for the Ban the Bag alliance. They have every alarming fact you need to know for why we don't need these things in our world. Go and have a look at their site and then tell me you still need that bag for your stuff at the checkout. South Australia has led the way, yet again, on this issue (do some reading on what else SA leads the way in - votes for women for one!). The ACT is following suit, and some coastal towns. But why can't my state get its act into gear?
